  • Keep It Cool with Frozen Dog Treats
During the warmer summer months, we can shed layers and put out winter coats away, but our pups aren’t so lucky. They can’t unzip from their fur and cool off in the breeze, so we have to find creative ways to prevent them from overheating. Cooling or frozen dog treats are a great way to offer your beloved pets some relief from the heat so they can enjoy the warmer weather with you.

The Type of Cooling Treats for Your Dog

Owners aren’t restricted to just one or two choices when it comes to cooling and frozen treats for their beloved friend, there are a range of different options on offer. While dogs may not be able to share in some of the frozen treats we have, there are sometimes doggy options available! Ice cream can give our pups upset stomachs with all of the sugar and dairy present however, with doggy ice cream your pooch can enjoy a delicious frozen treat to help them cool down. But they’re not the only cooling option they have.
Ice cream and other frozen doggy treats can also be a great boredom breaker when the weather is too hot to get out and about and burn some energy off on a long walk. Not only do they cool them off, but they keep your pup occupied on a hot day.

Using Ice Cube Dog Treats

Sometimes there’s nothing more fun than a simple ice cube to entertain your pup until it fully melts away. If you’ve never seen your pooch chasing an ice cube across a tiled floor on a hot day, then you’re missing out. They can be great fun and turn cooling off into a game instead of just something practical.
The All For Paws Chill Out Ice Ball is a great reusable option if your dog loves a ball. Simply soak in water, put it in the freezer until it’s solid and then they can have lots of fun with it while keeping cool at the same time. The ice slowly melts away with no risk of cracking and splintering off like a regular ice cube. Once it’s fully melted you can resoak it and start over again.
The Rosewood Chillax Soak Bone and the Rosewood Chilla Soak Shark both have similar designs, just different in shapes. They’re made to be soaked in water and frozen so your pooch can lick, chew, or throw them around to their heart’s content.
