Your cats need fresh and safe water for a healthy life. If you have installed a Catit Pixi Fountain for the same, then you should always have a backup filter to ensure that the fountain water is always clean. This pack of 3 filter cartridges is a suitable solution for the Catit fountain.
You can replace a defective one with it or keep spares to avoid last-minute troubles. A Catit Pixi fountain filter is important to purify the water as it performs a 3-kind action – active carbon, cotton mesh, and ion exchange resin. It removes the dirt, debris, odour, and other impurities from the tap water. After that, the filter softens the water by reducing the level of magnesium and calcium present in it so that the chemicals don’t accumulate at the lower urinary tract of your cat (cause of urinary infections).
This filter set for the cat’s water fountain also features a UV-C steriliser that neutralises the level of viruses and bacteria by up to 99%. These bacteria and viruses are often invisible to human eyes, which is why filtration is crucial. For the best results, the filter should be replaced after 30 days. Rinse the new filter before attaching it to the fountain.
